Hot Rolled Plates

Hot Rolled Steel Plates
Hot rolled steel plates (often referred to as black steel sheets) are highly durable, cost-effective metal products widely used in construction, heavy engineering, and industrial manufacturing. Manufactured at temperatures exceeding 1000°C, these steel plates offer exceptional ductility, toughness, and resistance to mechanical damage, making them the foundational material for a vast range of structural applications.
Whether you are a commercial developer sourcing materials for a massive industrial project, or a private builder laying a home foundation, we supply the exact volumes you need.

Premium Standard, Practical Performance
At Promstal GTU, we focus on delivering steel products that meet strict industry standards without unnecessary complications. Our hot rolled plates are produced from high-quality carbon, alloy, and low-alloy steel. During production, the steel is cleaned, defects are removed, and the metal is heated and continuously rolled to achieve the desired thickness and structural integrity.
While hot rolled steel features a characteristic oxidized surface (mill scale) and slightly wider dimensional tolerances than cold rolled steel, its superior formability and lower market price make it the optimal choice for projects where immense strength is required, but microscopic aesthetic precision is not the primary concern.

- Construction & Infrastructure: Structural beams, column lining, bridge components, and heavy building foundations.
- Industrial Manufacturing: Steel machine cases, heavy-duty machine tools, and manufacturing equipment.
- Transport & Logistics: Truck frames, chassis, railroad tracks, and railcar components.
- Storage & Utilities: Industrial tanks, gas cylinders, and robust shelving systems.
- Private Projects: Residential foundations, custom structural supports, and heavy DIY builds.

Custom Quoting for Every Client
We do not display fixed prices on our website because the steel market fluctuates and every project is unique. Promstal GTU quotes separately for each order based on exact quantity, dimensions, and logistics. We do not alienate B2C customers—whether you need a few plates for a private garage or bulk tonnage for a commercial development, you receive the same professional service and high-standard material.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between hot rolled and cold rolled plates?
Hot rolled plates are processed at extremely high temperatures, making them easier to form and more cost-effective. They have a rougher, scaled surface. Cold rolled plates undergo further processing at room temperature for tighter tolerances and a smoother finish. Hot rolled is ideal for structural use where exact surface finish is secondary to strength and cost.
What do S235 and S355 mean?
These are European structural steel grades. S235 is a standard, unalloyed carbon steel with a minimum yield strength of 235 MPa, offering excellent weldability and formability. S355 provides a higher yield strength (355 MPa), making it suitable for more demanding, load-bearing structural environments.
Do you sell to private individuals, or only B2B?
We proudly serve both. We provide custom quotes for major B2B developers and contractors, as well as private individuals requiring steel plates for residential or DIY projects.
How do I find out the price for my specific order?
Because pricing depends heavily on current market rates, order volume, and specific dimensions, we quote every inquiry individually. Contact our sales team with your required thickness, grade, and quantity for an accurate, no-obligation calculation.
